  • How do I become a citizen journalist?
    To be a citizen journalist doesn't require to be first a journalist. Locast grants democratic access to everybody. You just need an account and a digital device, not necessarily a Locast-application enabled handset.

  • How to sign-in to Locast Civic Media?
    You can either create a brand-new account on Locast or use your existing social networking account such as facebook.
  • I don’t have a fancy Android device. Is there a way to participate without it?
    Sure! Any handset with built-in camera, laptop with webcam, digital camera and audio-recorders are all ideal tools to create your casts and share them on Locast platform. Read how.
    • Mobile phone with built-in camera
      Shoot your own cast through the video or audio recorder. Then you can share it on Locast uploading it directly from the mobile (through Locast website) or transferring the files to your personal computer through USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
    • Laptop with webcam
      Record your own video and save it somewhere on your local machine. You can then grab the file and upload it to Locast through our website.
    • Digital camera / Digital audio recorder
      Create your cast - transfer the files to your computer and send the files through Locast file upload feature.

  • I want to spread around my casts. How can i do it?
    Besides the common features for embed code / permalink copy and paste and share to the main social networking platforms, you can sign-up with your Facebook accounts and the platform will automatically send updates to your feeds. Of course you can also use the word-of-mount and spread Locast among your neighborhood.
  • I want to contact Locast staff for further information, suggestions and critics. Who do I contact?
