Exciting event to happen in Porto Alegre during the Locast Civic Media experiment

Hey everybody, I am writing here to advance some news about an International Dance Festival (Mesa Verde) which will happen from November 15 to 22 in Porto Alegre. So it'll be on exactly during the days we should be covering the facts around the city for the Locast Platform. The most interesting aspect, besides being the first edition of an international event that will put on stage some important foreign and local exponents of contemporary dance and dance-theater, is that some of the works will take place in urban spaces instead of the traditional theaters. There will be presentations at Usina do Gasômetro, Beira-Rio Avenue and Mercado Público, for example.
This occupation of urban spaces by the arts is totally in tune with the expansion of mobile media; the space barriers where everything has a designated place to happen are not so defined anymore and all kinds of spaces are intermingling. The Mesa Verde Festival is going to be an interesting subject for coverage with our mobile machines. The official launching of the event is set to happen on October 30th; its creators and organizers are the Cultural Association Cena21.

Leitor Repórter from Zero Hora (Grupo RBS)

Keyword
Participatory journalism , Hyperlocalism, Citzen journalism

Abstract
This project is a small part of Zero Hora’s site (the most important newspaper from Rio Grande do Sul). There, the readers are invited to send texts, pictures, videos and audios in order to tell for everybody what is happening on their city or neighborhood. They use a phrase to introduce the ideia of the website: “Enjoy and show your community”.
To write for the first time, people need to fill out a form and agree with the term of the website. After, is just necessary to send the material and wait for them to approve.

Critics
The project is very interesting because people in general have an opportunity to tell what is happening on their neighborhood in one important website. With this project, is possible to put together material from professional journalists and from who else wants to do the journalistic activity. Although, this section of the site is not very popular and many people don’t know about the existence of this, even if they access the site.

Summary: The internet is now part of the life of millions of people. It has affected the social relations and, consequently, the communicational processes. Nowadays, the web is seen as a media that has its specific way of making journalism: the webjournalism. The web's interactional and hipermidiatic characteristics, together with its decentralized feature, give the audience the possibility to publish content and colaborate with the journalistic production, which affects traditional theoretical marks of communication, such as gatekeeping and agenda-setting. Thus, the role of the journalist is being reconfigured as the web resources are being used in a way to avail their potential. Traditional professional atributions, like gatekeeping and agenda-setting, are giving room to a new form of mediation: the information cartography.

You Reporter ("vc repórter")

2 Qualidade do texto:

. utilize uma linguagem clara e objetiva
. escreva frases curtas
. evite gírias ou termos difíceis de entender
. procure não repetir as palavras
. use sinônimos
3 Imparcialidade:

Teste os equipamentos antes de iniciar uma gravação com sua câmera;
4 Imagens adicionais:

1 Lente:
